Hai guys , i am new to this chat and my question is how to get 3v as output of a buffer given 5v as input.

I just love the Lm317 variable voltage regulators. Someone here will know more than me and come up with a simpler solution but I use em just cox I love em everywhere i can. Loads of good resources online, type Lm317 calculator and you'll get an option fr your needs

What are you going to do with that 3V? If it is is just a signal going to a high impedance input, the solution is 2 resistors aka a voltage divider.
