I recently bought a house with a NAPCO ALERT 1000e keyboard and matching
control. Unfortunately, I can't do anything with the alarm system. I'd
like to be able program the user code, enable the entry/exit delay, and
disable the $#@# chime. Unfortunately the original owners of the alarm
are long gone (it was an estate sale), and the alarm company they used
when the system was used is no longer around.
I've found the instructions to the system, and found that there is a
User Program Code and a Dealer Program Code. Unfortunately the default
codes in the manual do not work, so it looks like they've been changed.
Is there a way to change the dealer program code back to the default?
I'm handy with circuit boards and electronics. Eventually I'll want
to have a more modern system installed, but in the meantime I'd love to
be able to use the existing system while we recover from the house
purchase .
Thanks!
