book or website on instrumentation amplifier and other opamp design

Anyone know a good book or web resource for designing differential
amplifiers, instrumentation amplifiers, op-amp circuits, etc... See my
post above called "Differential amplifier for measuring Hall voltage".
I already have the Keithley book called "Low Level Measurements",
although anything else about this kind of thing would be informative as
well.

You had a look at the application notes provided by the
manufacturers of these parts ?
Even if you want to do your own, the appnotes may be useful.
They are too many to list ...

Thanks. I had already recalled a few copies of this at my school's
library. It's in high demand I guess.

Here is another data sheet that might be helpful:

And very rightfully so. It's not the only good book there is, but if you
had to have only one book, AoE is it.

(Plus it's kind of the magic decoder ring for this newsgroup. People will
refer to specific pages...)

Walt Jung has brought out a new book on op-amps, but I can't find it on the
Analogue Devices website.

used paperback from amazon.com starting at $24.70

Unfortunately we Canadians can't buy the used stuff from Amazon.com, and
Amazon.ca still didn't support this, last time I checked. But there are
alternatives, like eBay, for used books.

In that case, they have new for $28.61

I tried. Seems like a rather strange law.

I'm not sure if it is a law thing or if Amazon doesn't want to sell them
to Canadians for some other reason.

As Nikita Kruschev once said, "American capitalists will sell us (Soviet
Union) the rope with which we will hang them." I doubt it was Amazon's
decision.

Try bookfinder.com and addall.com - these will search the online
stock of many independent used booksellers, some even in Canada.

In response to your original request, look at the datasheets for
various instrumentation amp IC's. The ones I've used for audio (not
neccesarily appropriate for your app) are INA103 and INA163, made by
Burr-Brown which was bought by TI, and the data sheets are available
at http://www.ti.com. Also get app notes you may find online at TI,
national.com, analog.com on op-amps and related devices.

As for your earlier request on how to measure Hall effect voltage
impressed on a much larger DC offset, it may help to look at this
manufacturer's data sheets and app notes on their linear hall effect
devices:

AN27702 talks about an "electronically rotated" sensor, where the
driving terminals and sensing terminals are swapped back and forth.
The idea would be to use CMOS 4066 chips or similar to do the
switching, but at the high impedances you mentioned, charge injection
by the switches would be a serious problem.
