Betamovie Camcorder

I have a love of old video formats. I have two Sony Betamovie camcorders that are not working. I want to try my hand at fixing them. Would anyone be able to give me some guidance on where to start? There is a video on youtube about replacing the fuse, and I have come across another repair site showing step by step how to do a couple of other repairs, but wondering how to best determine where to start, and also where I might find parts.

Start by identifying what's wrong with each of them.
Do they power-up?
Can you load a tape?
Do you have a display on your monitor?
There are a lot of manuals out there on Beta equi[pment, Google the model numbers
and you'll have a good start.
