Best precision DC power supplies

M

Mr.CRC

Hi:

I have one of these at home and two at work, bought when they were still
under the Xantrex name. Recently I looked at some Matsusada models, but
the Sorensen XDL seem to still be the highest precision power supplies
in the <56V several amps category.

Anyone have anything which can out-do the XDL series?

You might look at Agilent.
Xantrex changed to Sorensen, but now they're going by the name Ametech, or something like that.
I don't know your application. The Sorensen people won't give you any info if you need to repair them yourself, you have to send the units back to them.
You can get schematics on Agilent gear, ...but their latest supplies are getting so complicated, that it's best to send Agilent gear back to the factory for repair too.
Sorry not much help. My opinion, Sorensen is good, but it's not top of the line.
Good luck getting what you need.
