beginner looking for a direction

I have been involved with electrical and electronics for well over a decade. I would like to get into the service/repair business for pro audio/musician electronics. As well as design/build my own electronics in the future. The question i am asking is where should i start? It's a bit overwhelming to think of all i need to do to get this rolling.

Are there any good books, courses, etc? What equipment should i purchase first to get started? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.
