BBC Bias?

J

Jim Thompson

Is the BBC biased against John McCain?

He doesn't rate headlines, only a secondary mention at...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/

They seem to think Edwards is more important, when he's been a loser
from day one.

If you descend into that BBC article, it was "close" between McCain
and Romney...

When, in fact, it was 36% to 31%

all about the psychopath... Hey, how is *your* Ron Paul doing anyway???

He's leaving the race - which is news - while MCCain is doing pretty
much as expected, which isn't.

That's close for a primary - not neck-a-neck, but not a spectacular
difference either.

And who cares which Republican is going to be the losing presidential
candidate? Dubbya has reminded everybody what a disaster a Republican
administration can be and it will be a generation before the
electorate makes that mistake again - time enough for a third Bush
generation to fail to mature.

Algore's got that franchise locked up. I bet he's made $100 million so
far, and he's about to take his TV network public.

Meanwhile, everybody else is freezing to death.

I don't know about that, but certainly a lot of networks are biased. I
worked for a while in the states this summer and Fox really surprised
me.

In denmark where I live, one of the national channels "dr" (www.dr.dk)
is funded by the income tax. But it is infested by lefties (like
democrats in the states) and it really is a pain to see at times. Its
getting better and the right wing government has passed laws to try to
even up the score.

When the war goes bad against terror, they talk very much about it,
but then breakthroughs are done only a footnote in the news. (won't
even talk about the lefties view on terror and how to fight
it......geeeesh)

Freezing?
Just had the first mosquito in my house, and it's still January.

Tell him to send some of that over here. Else the Sierra Foothills in NE
California will become Sierra Sibirsk pretty soon.

I went downtown today for my 3-month follow-up exam... it was almost
70°F at 2:30PM, now, at 6:18PM, it's 58°F, but windy with a nasty
_chill_ feel to it :-(

It was 53F last evening, then a front came through and just about
blew us to Oz, dropping the temperature 30F in two hours.

Yesterday it didn't get much above 40F, freeze at night, all accompanied
by an icy wind. Today is better but the forecast has almost been a
straight line for weeks, all cold. We used to not have icy winds from
the south. Now we do :-(

Today we walked the dogs and came by a house where they had gotten
another 1/2 cord of wood 10 days ago because their stack had dwindled.
That 1/2 cord is now almost gone ...

Is the BBC biased against John McCain?

No, not at all. He is just too boring to bother with. Romney would
be the first morman president if elected. Hillary would be the first
woman. etc.

John McCain would just be another old white guy.

What was the margin of error and the undecided? Chances are both were
nearly equal to the difference.
