Battery Charge Level Display

I need to design a circuit which monitor the 48V, 100Ah LI-on battery and the display the status of Battery to indicate charge level on the computer. Kindly let me know how to do it? Does have any reference design?

You'll have to take into account the battery chemistry (type of battery).

Thank you. I am using 48V, 100 Ah Li-on Battery. Can you please suggest some battery monitor ic which can monitor 48V (Fully charged voltage of 55.3 and min of 43V) required for my application?
