Just wasted 20 minutes trying to remove one, not the simple obvious type
with a plastic latch under the drawer. This IEC rivetted in and surrounded,
no make seen .
If you pull out with a horizontal angle set, rather than straight pull,
there is an end stop at either side, from feel.
Tried forcing 1mm wide bits of nylon cable tie down each side, did not
budge. Them and with engineer's cramp across the upper edges of the drawer,
no go. Then, shit or bust, small screwdriver one side and cramp and it
shifted.
There are 2 latches either side , one in a vertical sense and one
horizontal. So correct method would seem to be doubled up thickness cable
tie one or both sides and lifting outer edge of drawer , while pulling out ;
or small blade screwdriver in one side, twisting blade, 90 degrees and
pulling drawer outwards and upwards.
Any other awkward types and extraction methods others are aware of? for
future reference.
