Automatic watering

Hi everyone,
I have an electronic project and in this one i have to make an automatic watering.
I want to have an ergonomic system so i would use some solar panels but the problem is that i Don't know how to size this solar panel.
If you could help me, i will be very happy. Please response me ask soon as possible.

More info needed. Water pressure? Flow rate? Using moisture sensors, timer? Budget? Electronics experience?
