Audio emitter resistor

Bad emitter resistor on audio channel in Sony STR-DE897 A/V receiver. Nomenclature on bad resistor is 5 W K
2 - 0.22 Ω
49 2
What does that mean and what do I look for for a replacement?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a 5 Watt .22 ohm resistor. I replaced many of them when I did stereo repairs. Check for shorted output transistors. Many times they are the cause.

..or a *dual* 5W 0.22 ohm resistor. If it has three leads, it is two resistors in the same package. I've always just replaced those with two separate resistors.

edit:
Yup, a dual. But as other have said, if one of these is bad it was most likely caused by failure of one of the output transistors.
