Anyone heard of an Ademco Vista 10 Disarming itself

?? anyone .. i have a client that swears they get a red light in the
vening when they ARM, and in the AM they come in and it is disarmed
...any ideas ..?

Yeah they are monitored, but thats another story, I have to go through
the history, I dont have affiliation with the monitoring company they
use. The Monitoring company claim it was a low battery for a week, but
i get there the Plug and Battery is perfect, and the system is perfect.

Not possible but check for possible keyfobs being activated accidently or
keyswitch zones etc, turn on opening/closing reporting, that will tell you
what is really going on since that panel has no event buffer

I had this problem with a Vista 10SE vintage circa1999. Power fail with a bad battery would disarm system when it came back up. Yes.

Drove me nuts for months.

If you have any wireless devices, check the zone types programmed. I had a
DIY customer program a motion as a zone type 22 (disarm) by accident. With
the system armed in stay, this would case the alarm to disarm all by
itself...kinda funny.

One would think manufacturers would have picked up on this.

thanks, i had another thiought and called them up, turns out maybe the
main building is turning off a light which is somehow tied into the
same breaker!

So will find out later.

Its brand new install. It has 2 GB and 2 Motions, so i guess it is
dying by morning, then when that light is turned back on, thats when we
are getting low battery, then it is fine until the next morning .so its
got to be that. Im going to ruin an extension cord to another socket,
if there is another one ..

ahhh .. anyway, yeah i did put it in a different socket with an
extension cord,. and it worked fine last night. so they have to get a
new socket hooked up off the breaker for me on that same line ..

they just kept saying that there was no problem with the socket it was
in, as all their cable modem, fax, etc is on that socket ..i guess now
they know ..
