ademco Vista 20p: How many wireless transmitters can I put on it.

Hello all,

I bought a new medium transmitter so I could get 16 devices on it, I now
need to add 2 more sensors.

I still have my original small trasmitter (with 8 devices) and thought at
the time I upgraded the alarm guy said it was possible to have both
transmitter on the vista...

Now they are telling me I need to upgrade to a Large and just get rid of the
8 device unit.

Can anyone confirm this either way?

I think you can add the other one, but you do have to give it a different
device address. I usually just use the ENH reciever anyway.

I used the wrong term, I meant receiver not transmitter! I have 2 recievers;
one is a 16 and the other is an 8!

I am VERY sorry for wasting all of our time, I am new to home automation and
security and I know it bad netiquette not to know your facts before posting.

Can any of you answer if I can put both recievers on my Vista 20p and what
the procedure would be?

Can you go in to any further detail how I would do this?

I have a home security guy saying that I can/'t and I have to buy a Large
for another 300 bucks!

It won't work. You need to go to an high reciever.

HOWEVER...maybe you can double up a few windows? Do you have any windows right next to each other? You can wire two switches to one xmtr.

Confirmed, you cannot have multiple receivers on that panel, upgrade to a Hi
