What is the difference between the "I" model and the one without the "I"? I
have an older LYNX-R Panel that is giving me no problems and wanted to buy a
backup panel and have it programmed exactly as the one that I currently have.
Are there any major differences between the two panels?

The "I" indicates a firmware upgrade to make the unit "Idiot proof".
Previous models were merely "Idiot resistant".

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what to eat for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.

The I means it is internet capable thru alarm net. module is either
built in or an add on

I assume that Internet means you can use a VOIP type of phone?? Can you still
use a regular POTS line with the "I" model?

The R-I indicates Internet capability, the older R-EN didn't have that
