Activating door video phone with normal bell push.

Hi,

I have a door video phone installed outside my door, adjacent to the normal doorbell switch. I need to be able to combine the functionality of both the devices by pressing just the doorbell switch. The idea is to use some kind of a relay (preferably solid state) that gets activated when doorbell switch is pressed, and that in turn, closes the video phone switch, while both the circuits stay electrically insulated from each other.
The video phone is Samsung make and works on a 12 volt DC supply, while the doorbell is a standard 230 volt ding dong type (not the electronic one).
Requesting members for help in suggesting the exact relay that may be used, or if it is to be used in conjunction with some other components, and the schematic of the circuit.

Use 1 pole in series with a "push to break" switch (to release the relay) to latch the relay.
Use the other pole to power the video phone.

You can use relays with much lower contact current ratings - 1 Amp should be good enough.

Yes, they are available. Have you thought of using opto coupled Triacs? They form a sort of SSR.
