Achieving Shock from DC

I want to build a Insect killer device.

can I achieve the shock from DC supply which is able to kill the mosquito etc.
I also want the corresponding circuit??

I don't know where you are, but here in New Zealand we can purchase a 'Zapper' from most supermarkets and hardware stores. It looks like a tennis racquet and will kill any insect hit by it! I suggest you buy one if these and take it apart to get a circuit. It would be cheaper than actually making one yourself.
