AcerView 99c horizontal size help

Acerview 99C randomly quivers, twitches shrinks and returns to
normal horizontal size.
Is there a pot or other tweek device in this monitor that could be
showing it's age, and that if tweeked a bit or cleaned would
stabilize
the screen?
Dry/cold solder joints on CRT socket were taken care of back in
Sept. 2000 and even though I didn't think that was the problem
again,
I went ahead and hit them with solder anyway to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

Connections on the CRT socket will not address power supply and deflection
problems. You will need to get to the main circuit board, requiring probable
disassembly of the monitor to access that particular device. Not a job for
an amateur.
