a/c motor question

Hi everyone, I build backlapping machines to sharpen reel mower blades. I am currently using https://goo.gl/4aej3a , w/start/run capacitors. I want to use a cheaper motor https://goo.gl/tm732C with only a start capacitor. Both are basically the same specs on hp, voltage, and phase.Is there any disadvantage to the Leeson motor without the run capacitor, say like losing power when adding pressure to the blades when sharpening? Thanks.

I think that the run capacitor is added to a motor to increase the efficiency. I don't know if there are other differences or not. I would try running it without the cap. and see how it runs, but I live dangerously. My opinion would be that if the speed is dropping too much; your motor is too small. This advice is worth what you paid for it.

Motor with both run and start caps are usually have the advantage if starting under load,, if it starts with virtually no load, the second one should suffice.
