8-Pin Dip

Hey guys, I have a 8-pin DIP IC that i'm am trying to find out what it is. I think it might be an optocoupler, but not sure. The numbers on the chip are:

M6964-3
KSS
95FO


I have tried looking on google, but all I can get is pages that wants me to put in a quote!!

or 6 pin

the only reference I could find to M6964-3 was for a Fixed Output 10W CMOS Step-Up Switching Regulator

so you know what circuit it is in ... ie. you have the board? ... does it look like a power supply stage ?

Well Dave, I might be screwed cause I have no clue what that chip went in. It was just an old chip I had laying around and just wanted to see what is was!

Hey guys i'll try and load a pic, do you think that might give you a clue what it might be, i mean I gave all the numbers and pin layout. It looks to have standard DIP pins(no mammoth size pins like it could be really heavy duty).
