4g lte frequencies calculated

Hello ALL,

New here.
Know nothing about how radio frequencies are figured in the 4G LTE spectrum,as far as building a signal repeater for a particular band / frequency.
Have never found any good tutorials on building a DIY repeater as well.
In other words you can buy a pre-made signal booster for 900mhz,,,or 1700mhz,,or 1800mhz.
What would be the differing components in these models ?
Just would like to learn more how this works.

Anyone ever attempted to build sucha project?
Thanks

Designing and/or manufacturing of equipment working at such frequencies takes a LOT of input, some of it in micro-mechanics and lots of detailed simulations. Sculpting resonant circuits (oscillators, filters etc) at those frequencies requires machining (or etching) to sub-millimetre accuracy as well as knowledge of the substartes they are created on etc.

If you want to 'work' with such frequencies it would be a lot simpler to use ready-made modules that are designed for those bands - pretty much on a black-box basis where you leave the details to the pro's and concentrate on connecting the modules to do what you want of them.

Sure, some very experience amateurs build such stuff but the key words are 'VERY experienced'.

exactly :)

and I love experimenting and building gear on those similar bands

@davenn
Curious have you had much luck,,, experimenting with any of this?
Cant believe google returns pretty much zero,,,on anyone building anything similar?

Thank You

Illustrating the difficulties that were suggested!

What is your purpose for building such (presumably a repeater?) I know that 3G repeaters are readily available - I have a spare, unused unit - and 4G versions do exist already (usually called 'signal boosters') and building your own would probably cost more than a commercially made unit.

Just trying to learn how these actually work,,more so than anything,
yes a decent 4 band 'commercial made' unit can be had for about $400 USD now,,,Thats what Ill go with.

Thanks
