27" Philips floor model tv modelK7605AK02,chassis:27R1-01,year:Aug
1989,over the past few weeks the tv would occasionally shut down and a
couple of days ago no power (not even relay click).The tv is still in
the customer's house and will be brought in the next few days.

I don't repair any item 14 years or older and stopped repairing floor
models ages ago,does anyone have any common repair tips for this unit
which belongs to a friend of mine?.Thanks.

Sid, if the obvious checks, like the HOT, PS etc don't pan out, go for
C450 on the output of the standby power supply. It's a 10uf@50 volt and
filters the 11volt stby. Used to be a good money maker.
