25A 14V DC regulator

Anyone have any ideas on a ready made DC/DC regulator that can take
input voltages from around 10 volts to 14V and output a consistent
14VDC (or adjustable in that range) at 25A or more? I'm not totally
against building my own, so a component recommendation would be helpful
also; however I would prefer a ready made solution. So far I've easily
found some solutions but they are only good to around 3A or 5A, etc.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Will the output always be above the input or not?

If it will, then you need a straight (adjustable) boost converter
although not all converters can do Vout = Vin. You'll need to be
careful about dropout. There are some adjustable OTS converters
available in this range. Try this search for a decent outline
'dc dc modules' at google.

If the output will vary both above and below the input, then you would
need to use perhaps a SEPIC [single-ended primary inductance converter]
style device. There are a number of solutions in this area. National,
TI, Maxim and Linear tech all make controllers designed for this type
of application.

If you need a converter that can go above and below the input, it's
possible but unlikely you'll find a premade module.
