Featuring voice activity detection, up to eight inputs for capacitive touch, and what is claimed to be the first wireless secured MCUs—though, these claims should be taken with a pinch of salt for the time being—the RS14100 WiSeMCU family can operate multiple protocols simultaneously, including dual-mode Bluetooth 5, 2.4GHz, and 5GHz.
RS14100 SoCs and modules are built on a secure-zone architecture and utilize multiple security levels to provide adequate levels of security for applications such as smart locks, medical devices, and PoS terminals. Some of the RS14100's security features include physically unclonable function, crypto HW accelerators, and secure firmware upgrades.

An Efficient On-Chip Application Processor
The on-chip application processor is based on an Arm®-Cortex®-M4 and offers efficient performance of up to 180MHz and up to 4MB of dedicated flash memory.
Ultra-low power consumption (labelled as the "industry's lowest" by the manufacturer) is achieved through several power modes designed to control and reduce system energy consumption on an as and when basis.
This ultra-low power draw enables the RS14100 to achieve the lowest power consumption when in Wi-Fi standby mode of under 50uA, and the Arm®-Cortex®-M4 can achieve as little as 15uA/MHz operation.
RS14100 Highlights
The microcontroller features an Arm®-Cortex®-M4 with up to 180MHz and integrated FPU, MPU, and NVIC. SWD and JTAG debug options are available, internal and external oscillators with PLLs, and over-the-air wireless firmware upgrades provide extra security.
The device's Wi-Fi is compliant to single-spatial stream IEEE 802.11/a/b/g/n with dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz support, plus support for 20MHz and 40MHz channel bandwidths. Power can be transmitted up to +2-0 dBm1 with integrated PA and the device's receive sensitivity can be as low as -97dBm1. Data can be transmitted at rates of 125kbps, 500kbps, 1Mbps, 2Mbps, and 3Mbps.
Embedded Wi-Fi is also supported with Wi-Fi client mode, access point mode, and Wi-Fi direct and enterprise security. Advanced Wi-Fi security features are supported, including WPA/WPA2. Support is provided for concurrent Wi-Fi, dual-mode Bluetooth 5, and 802.15.42. The device can operate between temperatures of -40°C to +85°C and power is delivered via single supply 2.1 to 3.6V or 1.85V.
