Adesto Technologies Corporation has participated in the STMicroelectronics Partner Program for the optimization of the operations of emerging IoT devices by combining the STM32 line of microcontrollers (MCUs) and its non-volatile memory (NVM) mechanisms.
Adesto Technologies is a primary supplier of innovative systems and semiconductors that are application-specific for the Internet of Things (IoT).
It is hoped that the partnership between Adesto and STMicroelectronics will provide customers with access to high efficiency and high-performance systems that use external memory. Adesto’s memory products include features that are application-specific such low-power designs, data logging, eXecute-in-Place (XIP) operations, and optimization for high bandwidth. The first performance and power benchmark results show that the STM32 microcontrollers make full use of the flash memory features to ensure enhanced system performance.
According to Adesto’s VP of Marketing for memory products, Graham Loveridge, the company decided to join the program to strengthen its current collaboration and accelerate the time-to-market, allowing customers’ systems to take full advantage of the benefits of external memory.
Loveridge also noted that more users are showing interest in the company’s NVMs, including the high-efficiency FusionHD™NVMs and the EcoXIP™octal xSPI tools. He is anticipating that the combination of STM32 microcontrollers and their NVMs will result in compelling system benchmarks with the continuous rollout of STMicroelectronics future devices.
